Zoe-perry
Perry is the child of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). Her first TV roles included two episodes on the show as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in the ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mother. Her parents did not allow her to begin acting in front of her family until adulthood, as they feared the stress it would result in. Perry she was shy to be a part of the theater in her school, began to perform at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new acquaintances. Perry following her graduation from Boston University, relocated in New York in search of television roles. Perry was able to land small roles on TV shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness brought her back to California in search of theater jobs. Perry was a part of Broadway as a part of The Other Place with her mother in 2013. In 2015, she performed with her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. In 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family. In 2017, Perry played a supporting role in ABC's thriller about politics Scandal in which her father was the main character. She was also cast in The CBS show The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mother. The role was given an audition to the actress, despite the fact that she was a cousin with the character.
