Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise is a popular American writer, singer and actress who is famous for her role as Ginger Grant in the 1960s television series Gilligan's Island. Her stage work began in the 1950s, with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Then she performed in a variety of Broadway productions before making it popular in the national theatre arena with Li'lAbner's in the year 1957. In 1957, she also made her debut album named It's time to Tina. Louise began with her Hollywood career in 1958 when she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre a dramatic film. It was an enormous hit and Louise received the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York during this period and became Lee Strasberg's teacher. She signed on with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant. Louise was able to do a fantastic job juggling Broadway as well as Hollywood. She was portrayed as a dark as well as contrasting characters from the glamour-doll image she was perceived as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She also played SG-1 on the show and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. In recent years she's also becoming a highly-acclaimed director on famous television shows like Supernatural as well as The 100. Born in Essex Ontario, on the 27th August, 1965 her family emigrated to Toronto at the age of three. She spent her childhood there before moving to Toronto for her adolescence. When she was selected in 1997 to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has lived in the city ever since.
