Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise is a popular American artist, writer and actress, best known for her character Ginger Grant in the 1960s TV show Gilligan's Island. The stage debut of her career started in the mid 1950s when she appeared in Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. She then acted in a several Broadway shows before becoming the most famous on stage together with Li'l Abner, in the year 1957. The singer also released her debut music album It's Time for Tina that same year. Louise's debut appearance in Hollywood was in the role of Griselda in God's Little Acre, which was a 1958 romantic drama. It received wide applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the year category. She attended Actors Studio, New York during this period and became Lee Strasberg's student. The next role she starred in was through in 1964 after she joined CBS to play Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise kept juggling her career with ease in between Broadway as well as Hollywood portraying somber characters as in contrast to the image she was portrayed as a glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The series also featured her on the show as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although during the last couple of years she also has made her name as a highly successful director of many well-known shows on television like Supernatural and The 100. Born in Essex Ontario, on the 28th August 1965, her family moved to Toronto in the age group of three. She spent her childhood in Toronto and then her adolescence. When she was selected in 1997 to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has lived in the city ever since.
